Estrada & Puente, P.L.L.C. in Dallas, TX was founded by attorneys Olegario Estrada and Eric Puente with the purpose of helping citizens in the community navigate the complex court system to get the justice they deserve. Attorney Olegario Estrada was born and raised in Dallas, TX. He grew up working in construction alongside his father while also attending school at a young age. Mr. Estrada aspired to be a voice for his community by becoming an attorney and advocating for those who needed legal representation. Because he started working at such a young age to help feed his family, Olegario developed an early understanding of the value of hard work and a good work ethic. He attended the University of Dallas for his undergraduate degree and obtained his law degree from Texas A & M University School of Law in 2002. After passing his bar exam, Olegario knew the only way to accomplish his goal of helping others was to open his own law office.
Attorney Estrada has succeeded and prevailed in numerous cases, including jury and non-jury trials. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and all Texas state and federal courts. With his law degree, Olegario has the education, knowledge, courage, ability, and resources to help people who have suffered severe losses through no fault of their own. He will always look to help those in need and those victims who feel powerless. Olegario strives to fight for justice and assure powerful companies and individuals do not use their power and resources in an unfair manner. Attorney Estrada is committed to ensuring that anyone in need gets the justice they deserve.
His experience includes being a trial lawyer for nearly 20 years and trying over 200 cases by jury and non-jury. He is ready to face opposing counsel in the courtroom and is continuously driven to succeed and obtain justice for his clients. Since a young age, Olegario has had a strong passion for helping others and advocating for those most in need. Because of his diverse background and education, he can relate and connect to his clients. To Olegario, his clients are his priority, and he will do what it takes to seek a fair resolution.

Attorney Eric Puente is an experienced lawyer in criminal defense, immigration, and personal injury law. Mr. Puente speaks fluent Spanish and is a former prosecutor who served at the Dallas County District Attorney's Office. He is a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, where he earned the highest law degree awarded in the State of Texas, the Master of Laws, LL.M. He earned his J.D. from Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Texas Southern University.
He also studied international law at the City Law School, City University London. He graduated with honors from the University of North Texas, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Criminal Justice, respectively. He also served honorably for eleven years in the United States Navy during Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.
Mr. Puente has successfully handled cases ranging from Class B misdemeanors to first-degree felonies on the state level and illegal re-entry charges to federal drug conspiracy cases on the federal level. The effects a criminal conviction can have on individuals who are non-citizens of the United States can have profound impacts on their ability to remain in the country and their eligibility to enter or naturalize in the future. Mr. Puente understands the intricacies of both the criminal and immigration systems and how one affects the other.

With her broad trial experience, Alexandra has a reputation for being a fierce advocate inside the courtroom. Alexandra worked as an assistant district attorney for nearly 8 years where she moved through the ranks of the office handling both misdemeanor and felony cases. She spent several years in various felony courts prosecuting felony offenses involving drug offenses, felony theft cases, aggravated robbery, murder, and capital murder offenses. Alexandra spent two years exclusively prosecuting sexual assault cases and entrusted to tackle the back-log of the rape kits in Dallas. In addition to her trial experience, Alexandra has variety of other courtroom experience in issues involving motions to suppress, bond hearings, sentencing hearings, and probation violation hearings.
Alexandra has been recognized by numerous bar organizations for her advocacy both in the courtroom and in her community. She was awarded the Dallas Hispanic Bar Association, Rising Star “Estrella” Award, in September of 2018; the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers Outstanding Young Lawyer Award in May of 2018; the Texas Young Lawyers Association, Outstanding Young Lawyer Award in June of 2018; and the American Bar Association, National Outstanding Young Lawyer, in January of 2019.
